Bertha Dries

bertha_driesThis timeless image is a favorite. Photographs are happening all the time & I was lucky to have had my Palm Pre at the very least. Good photography begins with any camera in hand.

I loved growing up in a small town and this image has small town written all over it. The checkerboard tiles really take you back in time. This is a fantastic image.

Bertha is my grandma. To me this photo represents strength and reflection. She’s always stayed true to who she is and what she’s about. She can also tell a great story. Along with so many others, I’m very lucky to have her in my life. Thanks for taking this great shot.

How fun that Bertha is your Grandma.. She is a great lady. I love this photo a lot. It is one of my favorites that I have shot in a while. She doesn’t get why I like it so much but to me, it was the perfect capture of thought in process. If she had known I was shooting, it would have never come out this good.
